Public hearing on the future of Media and Culture Programmes and Second Meeting of the LUX Prize Selection Panel

Honorary President of the LUX Prize Selection Panel, Radu Mihaileanu, will be one of the speakers of the public hearing on "Defining the future EU culture and media programmes", organised by the Committee on Culture and Education this Thursday (26/04).
 
Many experts will propose their point of view on the future guidelines of Creative Europe, the European Commission proposal which is now discussed at the European parliament's Committee on Culture and Education, (Rapporteur MEP Silvia Costa). The proposal aims at bringing the current Culture, MEDIA 2007 and MEDIA Mundus programmes together under a common framework which will support the cultural and creative sectors with a budget of €1.8 billion (+37%).
 
The Second meeting of the 2012 LUX Prize Selection Panel will take place as well on the 26 April, to further discuss about the numerous films that have been proposed.
