The LUX Prize takes a vaporetto to the Lido

Once again this year, the LUX Prize will be part of the Giornate degli Autori, the 14th edition of which will take place during the 74th Venice Film Festival. From 30 August to 9 September, the parallel section of the Italian gathering will welcome the European Parliament’s love for European cinema.

One of the traditional highlights of the collaboration is celebrating its 8th edition this year. The 28 Times Cinema project will take 28 young Europeans from each one of the 28 European Union countries to the Giornate degli Autori to assign the Giornate degli Autori Award, a jury that will be chaired this time by Iranian filmmaker Samira Makhmalbaf (read news).

All screenings will take place in the Sala Pasinetti.

EP representatives will meet the members of 28 Times Cinema, in an event moderated by Giornate degli Autori Director Giorgio Gosetti.

Film representatives of this year LUX competing films will also have the opportunity to answer the questions of the young participants of 28 TIMES CINEMA during two specific meetings.
