LUX Prize screenings set to start

The European Parliament will start screening the three LUX Prize short listed films on 27 October. 736 Parliament members will be able to watch and vote for their favourite film over 4 weeks of screenings. Voting will close on 23 November.  The European Parliament president will award the 2010 LUX Prize to the winning film on 24 November in Strasbourg. The three films in competion were chosen by a panel of cinema professionals and unveiled in September at the 67th Venice film festival.
 
The three films are:
AKADIMIA PLATONOS - PLATO‘S ACADEMY directed by Filippos Tsitos
DIE FREMDE - WHEN WE LEAVE directed by Feo Aladag
ILLÉGAL – ILLEGAL directed by Olivier Masset-Depasse
