Illégal (Illegal) wins best director in Warsaw

The best director award at the 26th Warsaw Film Festival went to Belgian director Olivier Masset-Depasse for his film Illégal, a LUX Prize short listed film.
The Jury said "based on actual events, the direction of this film draws you in and creates a mesmerising, shocking and profoundly moving experience."
The jury also gave a special mention to Anne Coesens,  the lead actress in Illégal for her strong portrayal of a mother living illegally in Belgium and under threat of deportation.
