Athina Rachel Tsangari, a flourishing career path

The 2011-LUX prize finalist literally invades European festivals!
 
In 2011 Attenberg, Athina Rachel Tsangari's second feature as director, was finalist of the LUX prize and won the Coppa Volpi at the 67th Venice International Film Festival. In 2011 she produced Alps by Yórgos Lánthimos and won in 2012 the ARTE France Cinéma Award for best project at the International Film Festival Rotterdam CineMart for Duncharon.
 
Eventually in 2013 Athina Rachel Tsangari comes back on the European stage with a new short The Capsule and as jury member at the 63rd Berlin International Film Festival.
 
Sweden’s Way Out West festival, which runs from August 8 to August 10 in Göteborg and attracts more than 30,000 visitors annually will screen Richard Linklater’s Before Midnight in which she has a part as well as her own new short The Capsule.
 
The Capsule is also among the four Greek films featured at the 48th Karlovy Vary International Film Festival in the Czech Republic, that took place from June 29 to July 6 and where the 10 films of the LUX prize Official Selection were unveiled.
